Check-out is at 11:00 AM.
May I request early check-in or late check-out?
We are happy to accommodate special timing requests when possible. Availability will be confirmed on the day pior of your arrival or departure.
When can I expect to receive the check-in instructions?
You can expect to receive the check-in information one day before your arrival.
Location & Getting Around
La Fortuna
Where is Bauma located?
Bauma is located in La Fortuna, directly across from North Fields Café. It is ideally located to provide tranquillity while remaining close to the main attractions of the area.
How far are the main attractions?
Most attractions, including hot springs, La Fortuna Waterfall, and viewpoints of Arenal Volcano, are within a 10–25 minute drive. The town is just 5 minutes away by car.
How can I get around La Fortuna?
A vehicle is useful for independent exploration; however, we are happy to arrange private transportation and guided excursions. Additionally, Uber is available in La Fortuna.
Where can I exchange money?
Currency exchange services are available at the international airports and local banks. Our concierge team will be happy to guide you to the nearest options if needed.
Accommodations & Comfort
Can I request an extra bed?
We do not offer additional beds. Each accommodation has a maximum occupancy designed for comfort and safety.
Can I have a room with a volcano view?
Yes. Thanks to Bauma’s open design, you’ll be able to enjoy the volcano from your loft or villa and the surrounding outdoor spaces.
Do accommodations include kitchen facilities?
Yes. Our villas feature a fully equipped kitchen, while our lofts offer a thoughtfully designed kitchenette for your convenience.
Do you offer laundry services?
Laundry facilities are available exclusively in our Villas, where a private laundry area is provided for your comfort and convenience. While the Lofts do not include in-unit laundry, our concierge team will be delighted to recommend trusted local services to make your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Is the property secure at night?
Yes. The property features private security on-site each evening to ensure a safe and peaceful environment. Our team is committed to your comfort and well-being at all times.

Yes, supermarkets and local markets are located within a short drive.
Do you offer breakfast or a restaurant on-site?
While we do not offer an on-site restaurant, each accommodation features a thoughtfully equipped kitchen or kitchenette for your convenience.
